1. Have FSLogix Apps installed on the computer that is hosting the VHDx files.

  2. Go to Install FSLogix Applications - FSLogix | Microsoft Learn, download the application. Unzip the file when downloaded. Inside the folder, go to x64 > Release > FSLogixAppsSetup.

  3. Run the application setup and install FSLogix.

  4. Open a command prompt and navigate to the C:\ root folder. This is usually done by typing “cd ..” and hitting enter. Do this twice.

  5. Enter “cd Program Files\FSLogix\Apps” and press enter

  6. Enter “frxcontext —install”

  7. Now from folder explorer, navigate to the VHDx you want to open. Right click on the VHDx and you should see “Mount for FSLogix Edit”

  8. Select this and Voila! It’s open. Select the Profile folder to view the contents.

If “Mount For FSLogix Edit” fails, just do it again and it will work. It sometimes fails to mount.
